To create, to receive,
and to share it all together.
Shinpaku is rooted in a community of rice farmers in the renowned Yamada Nishiki Special A district—known as the Grand Cru of sake rice—part of a village with a 1,300-year history stretching back to the Nara period. Here, we are cultivating a new model that connects agriculture and culture across generations. We open up the fields, grow rice with people from around the world who come to stay, raise a toast with sake, and cultivate the agricultural practices that form the raw materials of culture.
To pass on the heartbeat woven from soil and water, sun and wind, people and rice, to the next thousand years.

共農
米をつくり、酒をつくり、風土をつくる。日本文化のルーツに触れる滞在を。
Create
Touch the root of Japanese Culture
八十八の手間があると言われる米作り。土を耕し、苗を植え、草を取り、稲を刈る。その手間隙も、米を育てる歓びも、酒の奥深さも、共に分かち合いたい。
Rice cultivation is said to involve 88 steps.
From tilling the soil and planting seedlings to weeding and harvesting—every bit of effort, the joy of growing rice, and the profound depth of sake—we want to share it all, together.
The soil is tilled with a tractor to improve its structure and fertility.
Mowing the grass—
for easier steps,
and a more beautiful landscape.
Sitting by the reservoir to rest.
Harvesting rice by driving a combine.
Picking up a beautiful stone found during farm work.
A refreshing shower, a soothing bath, and a blissful nap— gently easing the fatigue of farm work.

In search of harmony between the rhythm of
nature and a way of living that feels true to yourself. Spend the day slowly, letting it fill you up. And when it’s time to eat, let’s raise a glass of the sake we made together.
Gathering ingredients for dinner straight from the field in front of you.
Cooking local dishes together with people from the community.
Cheers.
Sharing sake to your heart’s content.
Relaxing slowly while listening to records.
Gazing into the campfire.
Reflecting on the day and writing in a journal.
Falling into a deep sleep on a bed of rice straw.
